This is an alternate mix of Warpaint's song "Krimson", the B-side of Warpaint's first single "Elephants" (2009).
The single was released only digitally in the U.S. by Manimal Vinyl to promote the "Elephants" music video. But since Warpaint granted the video premiere to The Fader, that kind of promotion missed its goal and the song was easily forgotten.
Although Krimson is in fact an early sped-up version of "Burgundy" (which Warpaint played live for the first time at The Smell on May 6th 2009), the album version was not included on the Exquisite Corpse EP until it was released by Manimal Vinyl in October 2009.
When I spoke to Warpaint two months earlier, they told me there was yet another "third" version of Krimson-Burgundy, set for release on their next album... but it did not appear on "The Fool".
