@WalkerOfTheWastes so.... cloud is just dispressed for no reason? is that what your saying? cause his best friend died and he thinks it was his fault that aerith is dead. thats why he is sad. but at the end! he is happy finally cause he didn't have to worry about anything anymore.

@Chosengriffin1 It isn't sad; sad can only be applied to characters with depth and complexity. Cloud-and hell, the rest of the FF7 cast- are bland, one-dimensional, and stereotypical. Vincent? Dracula knockoff with obligatory tragic past. Barrett? Mr T rip-off.
So...no, its not I think everything sad is emo. I enjoy a sad story, such as...Vivi's from Final Fantasy 9. THAT was heartwarming and sad. Cloud is just sad for sadness sake, especially in Advent Children.
