This is a beautiful look at a Dora, Adder, so why not change the title and stop everyone from pointing that out ad nauseum? 8-)

One of the meanest looking aircraft ever

by what i understand it is a very close match to the mustang, the P-51D however despite contrary belief, is faster, dives quicker, has a better mediom speed to sustained rate of turn if not over loaded with fuel in the aft tank, and a much longer range, and its liquid cooling system is not as vulnerable as the D-9s. also, the D-9 never always performed at its max in combat beacuse of fuel issues more towards the end of the war, i wold say the mustang is my choice.

@whiteadderextras - Hardly, they were designed for different operations. The Ta-152 had long, high aspect ratio laminar flow sectioned wings as well as many other minor differences. Nice video of the FW 190D though. Thanks for posting.

Yes, this is a restored Fw190D-13 filmed for a documentary. It has recently been restored for a second time to higher quality and is now on permanent display. There is only one Ta-152 in existence and it remains disassembled and in storage with the Smithsonian collection until it can be restored for display--so it is not on film. Typically, Jumo engines have the supercharger intake on the right while the Daimler-Benz engines have the intake on the left.

@jjtopp99 I can only say that it has the Jumo 213 engine as it has the air intake on the right side. Models having that engine are the FW 190D and the Ta-152 E-2 and H with large wings.
As we can see on the video, it doesn't have the large wings, and has the Jumo 213 engine, so it's a FW 190D

When this aircraft was purchased after decades of neglect in the mid-1970s, it was shipped to Germany for restoration and Dr. Tank assisted in the rebuild. The restoration quality done today is much better and recently this aircraft was completely restored for a second time to make corrections. It is now in a museum painted in the colors it had during the war.

Meanwhile, the airfield has been completely strafed into nothing.
Little boy playing nazi dress-up.

Agreed. The last time I watched an episode of Great Planes the info was so inaccurate that I have never watched again.
This aircraft is an FW-190D (Dora) and is NOT a Ta-152 as the title would suggest.
