P1080980~81 Head Sunim (Monk) Introtroduces 49 Day Ceremony in Buddhism

while earlier weekly ceremonies were all in Buddhist code - that is difficult for the laymen to understand, our Head Sunim first explains in detail the meaning and schedule of this 49 Day Ceremony . in theory GrandMa is still with us here and we all re-ensure us of the wrongs we have done in this lifetime and wish for her entrance into a better world (of which there are 6) after this . so this is sort-of the final fare-well, for at the end of this ceremony we part with her, letting her enter her next re-birth elsewhere . and it is said from there that she will let happiness shown upon her descendants remaining in this world .
