  • Nice video mate, I am going to build my first comp in the next couple of weeks.... one more wage packet!! Whats better the CORE i7 960 or the new Core i5-2500K? Any help would be appriciated as you look like you know your stuff :)

  • @Gruffington31

I can't pretend I'm an expert -- i tend to just buy top of the line stuff that seems to work together! That said, it depends on what you're going to use the computer for -- gaming? Video editing? facebook? Unless you're a power user (which I am not) the difference between those two processors probably won't be noticeable, I think...check out newegg, though -- you can compare specs on both cards there!

  • @Gruffington31

From what I've read, the diff between the two isn't pronounced....so costwise, the i5 is a good option..the only way you'd really see a difference is if you got the waaaay expensive upper tier i7. Good luck!

  • Is the sound card worth getting for gaming?

  • @urheadg0ne

In my case, probably not -- i tend to play sound thru the monitor or low budget headphones.......i could have gotten a cheaper soundcard, but if you've got a surround system and all that, the card would prolly be good to have! As it is, it does all i need it to do!

  • Ok, so i got the HAF-X, ive bought 3 MegaFlow 200 mm fans, which i think is the ones you have on top, anyway i was gonna use those 3 to replace the ones that are already in the case, that has no red LEDs, so that would be the sidepanel fan and 1 on top. So that leaves me with 2 200 mm fans, that i have no idea what to use for. I was looking around for mounting holes, but couldnt find any, and now i see you have placed 2 fans right next to the hard drive area. How did you fit those? Size arethey?

  • @AKhellbindeR --- well, you and I are using different cases,so I'm not sure no much help this is gonna be...but I think my drive cage fans are 120mm. You might check the manufacturers website or newegg to see what size fans you need. I'm holding on to my old fans as spares just in case the ones I have in now go bad. Good luck!

  • 1200 watt.. just too much..

  • Get a aftermarket cooler and overclock your rig

  • @diablo165 Thanks for the reply mate. I am going to be using it for after effects and photoshop work... and also gaming.

  • Hi, you have a very nice build there. I had one question, you are using the EA231WMI-BK monitor, correct? Have you gamed on it? Do you notice any ghosting on it at all, ( if you play fps games)? Thanks.:).
