my bassets sleep with me also. Reba my older basset howls in her sleep. Scares me sometimes , other times i just start laughing.

our basset hound does this as well. We usually go up to him and whisper its okay and pet him and he stops and continues sleeping.

My 6 year old basset, Eeyore, does this too. Usually with the belly wiggling & paws sleep running. Love my basset!

lol i had a mutt (who knows exactly?) but he looked like a tiny tiny shepard.... anyways he did this every night.... I coined the term Sleep Barkin (just reminds me of the way people say sleep walking)

Yes ive been doing that lately too, he's having a dream right now, those big paws are kicking away. These dogs are the best.

now that has to be funny, i wish he would, occassionally we get a short burst of a howl, but he never does it. He such a comical dog, love bassets

OMG how funny is that Fred was named tank for a few days but we changed it, he looks like one now, lol. Im so jealous I want another basset pup

This is my basset, I just love this breed. He has so much personality, this is something he does several times a week. It always cracks me up. I have a pug too, when he does this she just stares at him, between the two of them its a hoot
