I thiink of my boy I once had, his eyes as blue as the sky, but some one killed him the arsehole, and he got away with it too. NO JUSTICE, but thank God for beautiful music, thanks for posting this. Love Willie Nelson. Glad we like this kind of music.

My Grandpa just passed away. When we wheeled him to his hospital bed... he didn't want to get put in bed yet... because the knew it would be the last time... so we put on his own accordion music. The song "blue eyes cryin' in the rain came on. He smiled when he hadn't in so long... and but his arms out like he was playing the accordion to it. I had never known the lyrics to this song. i just knew the melody because he played it so many times. But... the lyrics are so fitting. beautiful.

A lot of great singers did versions of this Frank Rose standard, but only Willie found it's soul.
