@WulfBand Gyrocopters often have a small belt going to the main rotor just to get it started spinning.... after it starts spinning though it's allowed to freewheel on it's own. Giving the main rotor a pre-spin just helps it get going faster so you can take-off in a shorter distance.

@adamovita000 Looks just like a Gyrocopter to me. He may have applied for a patent to it but I don't think he's invented anything new there. Gyrocopters have been around for a long time already.

Looks like fun

Just watch out for electrical and phone wires. There's enough idiots out on the road. That's all we need is for them to be hovering over us.

@Goofy2Max Yep, also I dont think the motorists behind him would appreciate the rocks kicked up by the prop....

I can see how the propeller could be very dangerous when being used as a motorcycle. Perhaps a ducted fan for forward movement with screens to be limbs intact?
What exactly did he invent? It looks like a Gyroplane to me.

Unpowered rotor on top ? So does this mean it just spins on its own and basically catch the air like a wing ? If you look close you can see a belt going from the motor to the top rotor.
