"Lito Camo's 2000 album Ano Camo? (What Is It?) doesn't stray much from the musical territory defined on his debut album, 1998's acoustic-based Sino Camo? (Who Is It?), which featured, as does Ano Camo?, lilting pop melodies with a Filipino flavor, all fortified by spirited rhythm guitar. Ano Camo? is more of the same, and once again the album seems highly influenced by Eraserheads, whose music is known for its lilting melodies and hook-filled pop harmonies. Ano Camo? can be called acoustic pop and features some interesting musical ideas. "Ikaw Pa Lang" (It's Only You), for example, contains a Beatlesque melody, fortified by strong rhythm guitar and Beatles-styled vocal harmonies. Eraserheads are also known for having Beatlesque pop sensibilities. "Ikaw Pa Lang" also seems influenced by 1990s group Oasis, known for having been influenced by the Beatles..."

  • theme song po yan sakin ng mahal kong si sherkkkkk.............haha...i love it

  • i lyk dis song.......

  • If a simple 5th grader can write his song, than you can definetely write his songs and become this famous.

So, because of this assumption, once you've proved this and actually has become famous writing a typical song quite compared to his, well than I'll believe you.

    But the thing, you haven't.

You don't like him? The hell are you here for?

  • Sorry to disagree but I'm one of those that believe he's a great songwriter... His lyrics are subtle and simple yet overshadows many other rockband writers when it comes to poetry with his prose... Yes, he's not the same level as those you mentioned but if I were to compare him with most songwriters today, he by far outshines them....

  • guys cmon. lito camo's songs are cheap. a 5th grader could write his songs. his music is so degrading. and to deem him the greatest songwriter in the philippines is not something to be proud of. yes he could sell records but what about the quality? he'll never be in the level of ryan cayabyab, jim paredes, ely buendia, joey ayala etc etc. he writes migraine causing music. it never improves. the next song sounds like the last one. ask around people. please...
