i took my turndowns off and its my daily driver and i dont want to reflash the pc every 2 years to get it smogged.. this way i can run the cats and precats with out having to deal with it and these engines need that back pressure for low end cause i mostly do alot of towing. but your right chevys can handle it thou..

now that's some badass truck! I love good sounding lifted trucks!

wow, way to shit on your neighborhood

@rtccustoms Chevy's can fucking handle anything. My 00' 1500 silverado has 260K miles, and the only thing wrong with it is a simple to fix oil leak.

thank god i didnt go the way of flowmasters, i got rid of the cats ( no going to buy new ones at 300 dollars a pop) and just straight piped mine 3" thru + headers, sounds so much better in honest opinion, but still that 8.1 l still sounds like a beast no matter what you do. still never for get when i ran mine open headers, god that did piss my neighbors off lol

@rtccustoms Hey how much lift do you have on that thing and what size tires? Looks nice.
-
@SoCoMx309 ya fuck the police and the government buddy!
-
@rtccustoms Chevys can handle but can the neighbors when you start it at 3AM (1967 C20 SBC400 Open Headers)

SOUNDS LIKE FUCKIN SHIT!
-
that looks ridiculous

@MrCoorslightman thats illegal in most states to run a straight pipe. thats why most people dont do it anymore because the government is so fucked to shit by all these laws that they have to issue over vehicles an safety regulations. Yesterday I got a ticket for $237 for having illegal modifications done to my exhaust with also doing 45 in a 30...

You dont want backpressure you want exahsut velocity. If you loose power that means your running an exhaust that is too large. The less rescriction the better. In reality you will make the most power with straight pipes with the exhaust pipeing large enough to scavenge the exhaust gases but small enough to keep flow

idk i have been looking at videos of the jeeps withthe 10 series and super 40's and honestly the 10 series i think is to free flowing for the jeep straight 6 and i think the super 40 sound better. but check them out and let me know what you think. thanks for the comment thou

i have looked at a 5.0L engine and mine is a 5.2L V8. It sounded pretty damn good! The only consern is my neighbors complaining. Look at my Jeep it sounds pretty good

oh shoot for some reason i was thinking of the 4.0l the straight 6 but yeah if you have the v8 go with the 10 if you want loud and throaty but the 40 if you still want a great deep sounding exhaust and wont wake up your neighboors and put some turn downs on it so it echos off the ground and will make it a bit louder under throttle
