After you've gone and left me crying
After you've gone there's no denying
You seem blue you feel bad
You'll miss the dearest pal you ever had
There'll come a time, now don't forget it baby
There'll come a time and you'll regret it
Some day when you grow lonely
Your heart will break like mine and you'll want me only
After you've gone

  • who is the singer? Is it a girl or boy?

  • @lunettesviolette1990

A guy called Freddy Taylor he's the one who sings the same for the other songs with vocals in my channel

  • hiii!!

do you who is singing in this version?

  • @rainyclowdkourabies

There is a very wrong answer at Wiki Answers it says that Stephane Grappelli sings but that's so wrong Freddy Taylor is the one who sings the same for the other songs with vocals in my channel

  • @mrcmxoner Yeah I think it's Stephane Grappelli on

the violin, and that's where the confusion is with the

    wiki answer

  • @johnsurs22

Indeed Stephane plays violin in every song of Django that has violin in it

  • Thank you for posting mrcmxoner - this is timeless. Isn't it such a tribute to this music that practically every city in the world keeps the Django flame burning with it's own Hot Club de Paris or two! Brilliant stuff.

  • Django. Is. Epic.

  • @lunettesviolette1990 Could be Stuff Smith

  • But the voice is that of Grappelly.

  • best stop chorus ever

  • @QuadMochaMatti

Agreed!!! Django<3 his voice and his musical abilities! i feel ya! I've been a fan of SQN after i heard Ghost Of Steven Foster. by accident too. and now i listen to them everyday and have almost all their albums:)

  • @amrtnz77 Katherine's version is one of my all-time favorite treatments of this classic. Her "solo" album, 'Katherine Whalen's Jazz Squad' is a treasured part of my collection, and I have loved the Zippers ever since I first heard "Put a Lid on It" on a CMJ sampler CD back in 1996. I find it incomprehensible that there is ONE viewer who can't enjoy this particular cut though... it's Django Reinhardt for crying out loud! The man is a legend, and dare I say, a genuine Deity!

  • @mrcmxoner Django recorded with an American Violinist named Eddie South also.

  • Grapelli's violin must have caught on fire after that solo.
