Bob Rosburg, winner of the 1959 PGA championship, prominent golf announcer and former Stanford golfer, trounces Ty Cobb at age 12 in a club championship and recalls his outstanding college teammates and team that won the 1946 national championship. Rosburg entered Stanford at age 16 lettering in baseball and basketball in addition to starting in golf. More at http://www.stanfordmensgolf.org

  • I feel fortunate to have been able to meet him last year at his La Quinta home to do this 5-part video interview with Mr. Rosburg. He was gracious and very generous with his time, sharing his colorful and remarkable life story with us. He made time for us even though he was about to leave to be married again in Chicago.

  • very smart and outspoken. non-elitist unlike his upbringing. sympathetic to Blacks. too bad he only won 6 times. too negative and tempermental to compete successfully relative to his talent. great short game
