http://www.empire.edu/cosmetology-schools/illinois/arlington-heights-chicago Are you living in the Arlington Heights, IL area and wondering what your options are for local beauty schools? Wonder no more. There's an Empire campus right in your neighborhood. Come take a virtual tour of the school with one of our educators, Kim.

Our first stop is the front desk. This is where we check in our clients and answer all of the phone calls.

Down the hall is Miss Valerie's office. She's our Executive Director, which means she runs the school and makes sure everything is going according to plan. With her right now is Debby who does Career Planning. That means she enrolls new students into the school.

In the big corner office is Sheila, who is the Director of Education, meaning she handles everything that has to do with education.

Our next stop is the student salon area. This is where students work on real clients as well as mannequins. They can do everything - cut, color, braiding, extension, nails, skin, you name it. We also have both American and European shampoo bowls so that you have the best of both worlds.

Next up is Kim's own class. She teaches freshman cosmetology. Right now her students are learning how to do a 90 degree angle mixed with a 45 degree angle to create a layered haircut.

One of our students says she chose Empire because she had checked out a lot of different schools, but when she came here she got such a great vibe from the teachers and students that she decided to join us.

Another student says that her favorite thing about Empire is that she feels so welcome. She had gone to other schools before, but as soon as she came to Empire, she knew this school was for her.

If Empire's Arlington Heights campus seems like a place where you can grow band learn, come visit us in real life. We're located right down the street from Osage Park off of East Coach Rd.
