Yoshihiro Akiyama against former olympic champion Kenzo Nakamura in the final of the Japanese National judo championships in 2003.
Nakamura complains against Akiyama's slippery gi.
Same complaints were made against Akiyama in the 2003 World Championships and the infamous mma fight against Sakuraba.
He may be slippery but he's still one of my favourite fighters both in judo and mma.

  • 柔道時代からヌルヌルだったんですね。柔道の国際試合でも、相手の3カ国の選手から抗議を受けているし。

  • It's obvious. Kenzo noticed something wrong with Akiyama's Gi, with just a single grasp. It's very similar to what happened in Sakuraba's match. This is NOT a problem of nationality, but is a problem on Akiyama's PERSONALITY; Habit of CHEATING. He cheated in both Judo and MMA. Only if he fought without CHEATING, he would never be HATED like this. Look at other Korean MMA fighters, or athletes in other sports. IT IS ONLY AKIYAMA, WHO IS HATED THIS MUCH.

  • 日本の恥

    全ての柔道家に謝れ

  • @onokaoonokao Where has Wikipedia ever written that the talibans were organized 9/11? If you're lacking arguments, don't make up ones that are complete non sense.

  • @TheBoyIllz lol, wikipedia, is it that site that says talibans organized 9.11. and osama was killed a few months back? rofl dude who the hell gets their information on wikipedia

  • @nsquidc I am not saying if it was right ot wrong.I believe its the referee to blame, since he checked it.

  • @Reignman007 Learn your history before you mouth off. All 3 judoka complained of a slippery gi, and after he was forced to switch, he lost two in a row. He finally got caught when he fought Sakuraba and was found to have applied SIX bottles of Olay pre-fight.

  • Ok the referee checked it said it was ok,why keep arguing?

You cant call it cheat if it is not against the rules, according to the referee of course.

  • lol whenever japanese people lose at somthing, they must claim the other was cheating, so they could pretend to save their honor, and wont have to commit suicide for bringing shame to their families...

  • @hyundaipride the difference is they caught Akiyama on video lotioning up before the fight with Saku. he had been denying it the whole time till the vid came out then started saying ,oh that, well i had very dry skin so i needed the lotion. in Saku's case you're also talking about the greatest single leg takedown in MMA history.

  • Korean Akiyama likes soap gi very much.

  • uhm, what kind of idiots are saying that Nakamura had sweaty hands?

Its pretty obvious when this shit happened about 5 times and also with that brass knuckle shit...

Like what Sakuraba said, "I know the difference between slickness of a sweat and that of an oil"
