On Jan. 10, 2008, Nassau County and Lynbrook Police surrounded a Lynbrook home and evacuated the neighborhood after a report of shots fired from the home. The American Red Cross in Nassau County was called in to provide water, coffee and snacks to law enforcement and evacuated residents during the 3-hour standoff. Update aired during the morning broadcast with Elizabeth Hashagen, Jan. 11, 2008 on News 12 Long Island.
