I love this movie Cause of Spike Lee who's my 2nd favorite Idol! I need to get this on DVD! Sometime! My favorite scene is when the guy in the Larry Bird Jersey says he's from Brooklyn then all the Black Guys Scream like Hell!

It's like "The Deer Hunter" or "A Clockwork Orange". It's tough to sit through but it's still an amazing film.

This film is brilliant. And frankly, if you weren't living in NYC in the late 80's, you're not getting the half of it. We were experiencing over 2,000 murders a year, racial tensions were high, and shit was tense. This film perfectly encapsulates the timbre of the times. Shit was serious back then. Spike brought the noise.

No one's hate in the movie is justified, it approaches it from a neutral standpoint, a white man's business is destroyed, white police kill a black man, the film is about racism from all sides, only white people seem to think it's about what the BLACK people did, or what the WHITE people did to the BLACK people, no, it's about racism from everyone, for the whites towards the blacks, the blacks towards the whites, the asians towards the blacks. White people never see the big picture.

Wow, this movie is funny but it is really about domestic terror and discrimination.
