I remember a different version of this song, I guess maybe it was from the 70s commercial, but I can't find it. It was pretty much the same song, but not as long, faster and not as Monkee-y. It will continue to rattle around in my head 'til I hear it, I guess.

LOOKS 66-67ISH

This commercial is definitely from the late 1960's, rather than 1960. I was born in late 1961 and I remember this commercial from when I was 6 or 7 years old. Also, the background song has the kind of beat more indicative of what one would hear in the late 60's. Regardless, thanks for posting. Great piece of nostalgia

I GOT REVENGE! HOW YOU LIKE DEM APPLES MOTHERFUCKER?

A little trivia--LIFE was sold to Milton Bradley by its inventor--MARK GOODSON!

yeah, this is not from 1960. 1960 still had little girls in full petticoat dresses and little boys would not be wearing those haircuts. This was made later 60's. The game box looked the same for some time and it simply said 1960 on the box as that was when it was reintroduced. This commercial ran 67 or so during Petticoat Junction.
Great Commercial though.
As an example of little girl fashions of the early 60's watch the first Barbie commercial on youtube which came out in 59/60.

I just bought a vintage copy of "The Game of Life" from a rummaga sale, and I can't wait to play it again! My sister and I used to play this game when we were kids in the 70's. It was always one of my favorites! I bought a newre copy of the game a few years ago, and I play it every New Year's Eve, but it's just not theway I remebered. Now I finally have a vintage copy, like my sister had! I remember this commercial too. I think it ran throughout the 60's. Who did the singing on it?

Just an hour ago (at time of posting), funnily enough I was playing a similar version that my mother's family had back in the 1960s (only our one was distributed by John Sands in Australia but had Milton Bradley branding)

I remember the jingle and the add. A long time ago. I liked it. Maybe this is why I got the board game some 40 years ago.

The Life song sounds a LOT like "Last Train To Clarksville"! And dig those groovy glasses!
Nowadays, the Poor Farm and Millionaire Acres sound politically incorrect to some people!
Now, if somebody would find the old "Battleship" commercial (the one with the sailors fighting and the CPO opening his mouth like a foghorn), my life will be complete!!

I may be wrong, but I don't think that this commercial is from 1960. The fact that it is in color, the hair and clothing styles as well as the style/arrangement of the music all point to more of a mid sixties to around 1970 period.
