See http://www.pedalsteelguitartracks.web.officelive.com if you want pedal steel on your recordings.
I am trying out a Marlen steel that I have adjusted to give an easier action, for a fellow steeler.
It has had the original pull-release changer upgraded to all-pull, and needed a little 'tweaking' to get it to play a bit easier.

It certainly plays easy now, I'm playing it with no shoes !

It has an Alumitone pickup, which has the clarity of a single-coil, but no hum.

I recorded the steel into my computer, which gives a much better sound than recording into a camcorder, and also allows me to properly edit the audio.

  • Wow! Awesome sound. You really need to consider making a full length CD alblum. Your talent is the best pedal steel work I have heard in years. Good Luck to you.

  • You sure make some beautiful sounds with that instrument!!!

  • Richard, that was absolutely beautifull thanks for posting.

Hope to see you at Johns meeting.

  • Happy New Year Richard, thanks for all your help with my steel, she sounds lovely now - and thanks for teaching me a new tune. This one is lovely, and pretty straightforward to play. I love the tone of that Alumitone pickup. If you're coming to Gt Barford, can you bring her back with you? Best, Will

  • @Steelie1955 Thanks!!!!
