I wonder if G&S ever imagined their operettas would still be perfromed and enjoyed 150 years later. Too bad the issues and politics they parodied are still as relevent as ever! Some things never change, I guess.
The orchestra is fine for a student or amateur production. I have seen professional productions that were more polished but not as infectious, enjoyable or as close to what G&S must have intended.

Doesn't sound much like "The Lost Chord", does it? But Sullivan wrote
that too. Recorded by several opera singers in days gone by.
