It is because the dierector is translating the speech for us (well that is the effect) but that doesn't change what letters look like. Also people wouldnt of payed to see a movie they had to read subtitles at. But I do agree you should be able to watch it in german because I couldn't fiund a german language option in the language slection WHY!!!?
