Gurkhas fight for security in Musa Qaleh

This time last year Musa Qaleh, a town in northern Helmand with a population of approximately 20,000 people, was in the hands of the Taliban and was a conduit for narcotics, weapons and Taliban fighters. British soldiers have played a vital role with Afghan and international forces to drive the Taliban from the area which is now showing signs of development and prosperity. Since December 2007 the district centre has been held by Afghan Security Forces, a school and health clinic have been opened, roads have been paved and work on the 800 person capacity mosque is underway.

we have lost 2 comrades in this fuckin place.wish British army had cool kits like americans,danish and estonians out there in helmand province.many lives would have been saved.people dont know wat fronline is unless u go there.and with the kits they ve got,british army cannot win this battle.

british army will win the battle u should have trust on them the kits other americans got is nothing u just have to have the pwoer guts so u cna fight and achieve your goals and every people joing the army is the power of british army where their power is increasing so british will win it's all about you if you have got the power trust condifence and not afraid against the death taht' the real soldiers sir where tehy will fight for anything and do anything to win without cheating

i think this must be a difficalt opperation for the gurkhas as they are trained and used to jungle and high mountainus training this must be a considrible change
