Abosolutely love this song and Laverne and Shirley! haha me and my friend have to do a report on American stars in the 20th century and Im doing my report on Cindy Williams and she doing hers on Penny Marshall! hehe Im like a HUGE Cindy Williams Fan!

@DorisDayFanatic It was late 1964 when they moved to California. The older the show gets the more nostalgic it looks. I remember watching it on the air and thought it looked so modern during the Cali seasons. I look back and see how much it looked like the late sixties... it's funny but in the late 70's and early 80's the 60's weren't that far back lol

@fumetti Although I don't recall seeing this particular episode, the later editions of Laverne and Shirley took place in early to mid 1960s Los Angeles/Hollywood, so this may be one of those episodes.

The show was supposed to take place in the 50s yet this song was a hit in 1963. The male hairstyles are too long...didn't Gary Marshall just give up at one point to make this look realistically like a bunch of people in the 50s?

@fumetti The styles seemed more accurate here in the earlier seasons to me. As time went on, they became less similar to those in the 60's. I mean, in the Cali seasons, the girls had long, feathered out 80's hair...so I guess you could say that as time went on, they gave up on keeping it time-appropriate.

ROFLMAO!!! THIS WAS ONE OF THE FUNNIEST SHOWS EVER ON TV (Until they left Milwaukee for LA)

@bisnagaboy I agree - one of the funniest shows ever!!! And yes, the Milwaukee episodes are much, much better than the California episodes, though the California episodes aren't that bad once you get used to them. Thanks for commenting! =)
