@soyounoat Was this when they warmed up for Black Sabbath? I would've loved to have seen that. I saw them the next year in '80 on the"Women & Children First" Tour @ The Chicago Amphitheatre. Amazing!

@fraroc Totally agree. Most unrated drummer. I was in awe when I ran into him a few times at my daughter's school. He has a son that he picked up from time to time. We also had a end of the year picnic/get together and he was there hanging with us.

@spacewalker1551 my understanding is: it was booze. I heard that in several interviews with people who ought-a know. I believe EVH had the bigger problem. Like it was interfering with his life. And Edward plain looks like he's been dragged thru a knothole; way-old before his time now. And Roth had some trouble with it too. Such a waste- It's like with Hendrix. People keep saying 'what would he have been doing now had he lived?' You could ask the same about VH.
