Recently I worked on a home built in 1920's, we found much damage interior wall studs from various sources from dry rot to bug rot. We ended up with a huge mountain of wood debris at the job site. I cleaned the wood up by cutting off damages with power saw. The rest I used for kindeling and removed the nails recycled them as metal. Took a lot of work and time to do all the clean up. Stuff that I could not somehow clean up I hauled off to the land fill, but they sort thru it for other uses.
EXUSE ME BUT IF YOU WANT TO RECYCLE WOOD, GIVE IT TOO THE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE THAT BUILD INSTEAD OF SHREADING IT WHERE IT WOULD JUST BE BURNED. PEOPLE BUY WOOD EVERYDAY WHERE TREES WERE CUT DOWN. IF YOU WANT TO BE ECO FRIENDLY, DON'T BE SMUG IDIOTS LIKE THESE
why dont you just turn it into new wood like plywood.
