It would look something like an involute cut thru a donut then, sorry, I was thinking a trough shape (2D) with the spiral.

what about something like an inverted logarithmic spiral ?

I do not know.
I do not think you can get enough solar concentration with it.
I think your spiral needs to be shrinking in 3 dimensions.
Perhaps you can look into it?
