In June of 2007 a 21 year old man fell 40 feet off a bluff and survived. It took 4.5 hours and 16 rescue personel to get him down In July of 2007 a 21 year old man fell 40 feet off a bluff and survived. It took 4.5 hours and 16 rescue personel to get him down the jagged rocks. I was camping at Devils Lake State Park, located in Wisconsin, and just happened to be at the beach with my camera equipment to capture the rescue.

Cool video. As a Wilderness First Responder and occasional visitor to Devil's, I have an appreciation for what these rescuers do. Carrying a victim on a backboard or stretcher is hard, and those boulder-y areas at Devil's are tough to walk on even without having to carry a victim.
Great video, my only critique would be that the DNR guy is really hard to hear.
