Great vid! If the stem on that Upshall is really green, you may want to bleach it (after protecting the tenon with vaseline)? Also, if your friend's buffing wheel is a bench grinder with a cloth wheel, be really careful, as they spin extremely fast and it's quite easy to erode any corners, the bit, etc. I have a few videos on bleaching and buffing that you may dig if you're doing a stem for the first time. If that's not the case, please pardon the intrusion:) Best regards ~ Charlie
Good video man! I've found that when my stems are too tight on a few pipes, a bit of fine steel wool proves to get the job done most of the time. After i sand it down, i use a trick one of my military buddies taught me. He used to put graphite ("lead" pencil) on the moving parts of his c7 as a dry lubricant and so i tried this with my stubborn pipe stems. It works great! :) Its cheap, and its an odorless dry lube that wont be absorbed by any part of the pipe. Hope that helps!

Nice video. Really nice Charatan you have there. That Barling bulldog is a great choice as well. That Dunhill looks like a champ! Cheers!
