but these are a lot better :)

  • @saintsman2010 Thanks It is the video I am most proud of. I will try and make one like this again

  • 1:49 those are soldiers of the first infantry division. US Army.

  • @bikepeddlar6 Some of the Fallujah ones may be Army but most are Marines, the Hue clips are all Marines

  • i never knew we were in the same class as vietnam vets

  • @dmellow45 We all served our country. Most Vietnam vets have great respect for the sacrifice our troops make today. Most of us went to Vietnam once. Today many of our troops go two, three or more times. You are in the dsame class as all veterans who went far from and into a hostile enviorment

  • my dad fought at Hue... Thank you Marines... Then and now.... And all service men and women....

  • As a Marine who served in the war on terror,I want to thank Vietnam vets in paticular. My father served in Vietnam as a Marine and told me how he was treated when you came home.America is divided much in the same way as it was with Vietnam. The big difference is we didnt have to endure the same disrespect. The reason why,is because of vietnam vets. They made sure it wouldnt happen to us.So from the bottom of our hearts thanks and we love you. Beside our buddies,we didnt want to let you vets down.

  • @bikepeddlar6 The 1st ID had a cavalry and infantry battalion attached to a Marine RCT.

  • @bosphotoman2a Also, sometimes it's the "smaller" battles lesser known to most Americans which are the most devastating for those there. Hue and Fallujah got a lot of press, with good reason, and the 3/5 Marines lost a lot of good men in both fights. In their recent tour in Afghanistan, they had 25 KIA and about 200 WIA (many losing limbs to mines and IEDs) fighting in the smaller town of Sangin. It didn't get as much press though as Marjah.

  • Let's also not forget the US Army's 7th and 9th Cavalry in Hue and 7th Cav spearheading the attack in 2nd battle of Fallujah followed by Marines.

  • This was very moving. I am amazed at the similarity of action in combat. I kept track of who was who by watching the shape of the helmets and the weapons used. "Same as it ever was" is right on. Two different generations but the same breed. The Marines of this generation are as superb as any that came before them.
