this is a small example of the current state of development of my TIGsource - Cockpit Compo entry..,
the game is rendered in a vector style,. and will feature more gameplay than just the shooting you can see here,. there is no sound and nothing is finnalized,. in fact this reperesnts a couple days work on it.
but enjoy.
At first i thought the HUD guns were background, and that you moved the world around. And then you passed that cylinder thing and it clicked as a first person point of view. Makes me want to suggest having that piece of world geometry close when you spawn first, so that you move, and inevitably get the "pop" earlier... but I might just be being weird there. I had a similar thing with K: without some kind of ground texture passing under you, you couldn't tell you were moving
