We bought a yo yo from him yesterday in Asheville at VegFest....my son is hooked! I just showed him this (on the recommendation of Carl). Carl said he is retiring and these were the last yo yos he'd be selling! What a legend!

Carl came by the showroom today selling his yo-yos. We bought some last year and they are great! He said he hadn't seen this video yet, so I pulled it up and we watched it together. He enjoyed it. We also watched the one of Carlos's kids. He is doing well.

Thank you so so much for posting this on YOU TUBE! That is my Father Carl Bates, we live in Hollywood California, and we never get a chance to see him! I am enjoying showing my kids a video of their Grandpa! Next time you see him, tell him his son & grandkids said hello!

@carlosbates If I see him I'll definitely pass that on, I live in Alabama and don't visit but maybe once a year but next time I go I'll be looking for him. I told him when I took the video I would post it on YouTube maybe someday he'll see it on here.

@bearcountrydillardga Yeh, he's totally awesome, we saw him selling yo yo's and bought my son one and set there and talked to him for a while. I had to take a video and put it on youtube. Nice guy.
