U made really nice video... but honestly said, that´s NZ view of commercial tourists - you wanna see, so pay and go... live NZ is bit different. But nice video anyway...

Thanks! I agreed that's the tourists' way of seeing NZ.

If I was single like most of you guys, i'd have taken the backpack route...and tour NZ for 6-12 months...

I've got lost once in Australia, drove by unpaved road for a while, came upon a beautiful beach only known to the locals... it was surreal...

not really... I went to NZ in 2007 and ticket from Vienna with Ewa air was cca 1200eur.. including the stopovers in Bangkok and Taipei. When you take a chance to get some short term job in NZ you can easily get this money back and even save some for traveling as lot of backpackers doing. At the end it was more than a year long cool holiday in NZ, Aussie and part of Asia. all you need is to know that you really wanna go a do that :-)

u don´t need to have a lot... it´s the way you will chose. With less budget you can even see more than you ever expect...!
