If you expose your credit card to a magnet, will it still work? In an earlier video, Cynthia Drake with CreditCards.com said that it would not, but many commenters begged to differ. Well, Cynthia stepped up to the challenge, conducting experiments with a refrigerator magnet, a giant junkyard magnet and more to see what the truth really was.
Great article, thank you! Now we know, if you go the store and buy some strong magnets, you may want to keep them away from your wallet!

@ChrisC30 Well, it may not be the proper way of conducting an experiment and I agree it's biased. However, we cannot deny that magnets do work and they produce neat results (your card retains its shape and you can claim that you have no idea how your card was destroyed).

Your 'experiment' is biased, primarily because, according to your article, you didn't do proper research before suggesting that magnets would do the job. You claimed to contact a professor AFTER the experiment, to figure out why your magnets didn't destroy all the cards' information. Thus, you waited for proof that your original claim was inaccurate, and then found a way to make it accurate. Scissors work much better. Proven.
