WSIL, news coverage of Varsity Center for the Arts

On Wednesday May 20th, 2009 WSIL TV 3 covered an open photo scanning session for the Varsity Center for the Arts in Carbondale. This is the first of two public photo scanning events that the College of Mass Communication and Media Arts at SIUC is holding with the Varsity Center of the Arts. Photos are being scanned so that they can be featured in a historical video about the Varsity. Mark Stoffel, Digital Media Systems Specialist, from SIUC's MCMA, will be working on the historical video this summer. MCMA Dean Gary P. Kolb was at the public session to help scan and photograph the items that were brought in. The second public event will be Saturday 5/23/09 from 1-4 pm.
