My favorite verse in this song is:

i've learned that, 'water' is symbolic for 'change in character'. if you notice in movies this 'change of character' is quite often depicted through rain or snowfall. i feel like i'm constantly experiencing that change of character in my life these days. i'm learning to be embracive of the darkness in life...(even just rainy, overcast weather). i think when faced w/ hard decisions and/or moments of failure, we can choose to view those moments in a different light; as an opportunity; an opportunity to take a step and learn. i don't think life will ever be conveniently be just easy- even though a lot of us strive for that. there's beauty in imperfection, mistakes, tragedy, in failing... it just needs to be deeply discovered.

Fabulous dissonant halfstep walkup on the 3rd verse measure. It takes a somber melody and adds a touch of foreboding to it.

I like your songwriting because you don't just write the same thing over again. Most young artists would take this gorgeous piece and ruin it by cramming it into a verse/bridge/chorus format. Instead, you let the song remain somewhat nebulous and unformed. In my opinion, this is where it wanted to be.
