  • Thank you for this!!! :D :) Thank u so much for this clip from the Iron Age - the best Finnish TV-drama EVER! R.I.P. Paavo Haavikko...

  • In the middle of the 80s it was broadcasted in finnish TV. My best memory from that time is the boat in the Tuonela river. I can recommend the DVD when its possible to buy it now. The VHS-casettes from the library were not good quality. Still the DVD will not co-operate with my Silvercrest dvd-player. If i load up any more stuff it will be something were Jorma Ojaharju appears. The strange dance in front of Ilmari is also good. In memory for Paavo Haavikko(d.6.10.2008) vho made the screenplay.

  • This is cool,,thanks for uploading it..

  • Kyllä on paskat asusteet sankareillamme.... kunnon 1800-1900 luvun toppatakit ja rotjakkeet... tosin poron nahkaiset.... olisivat laittaneet samoinhin turkiksiin heidät kuin muunkin väen

  • SAMPO!

One thing's definitely for sure: American industry still makes the best darn quality Sampos around and that's a fact!

I can definitely detect the influence of the British sword n' sorcery movie "Excalibur," especially on the costuming.

  • Obscene bawdy pornographic is the "largest penis of the universe" at 6:48

  • I am reading Kalevala right now (unfortunately German translation) and trying to learn some Finnish on my own... I would love to see some more stuff like this... or how can I get my hands on the DVD?

  • Tack, tack, tack för detta! I've been looking for it since SVT screened it in the early 80's!
