Quick Preview - 17" Compaq A909US Hackintosh

Just a quick preview. My camera doesn't record the laptop's LCD screen very well, but the quality is quite good - better than the 13" MacBook's LCD (the screen doesn't look washed out at max brightness on the Compaq).

Installation is simple...use Kalyway 10.5.2 Intel/AMD and set the options to Graphics=X3100, uncheck the Wifi box, and under Patches select the Power Management bundle. Once you've got Leopard installed, install the new Power Management bundle from InsanelyMac and Leopard Graphics Update 1.0. Webcam doesn't work and Audio only works partially (just onboard speakers), but you can get a USB webcam and USB sound card if you need those features. Everything else works great!

I have this same laptop but with AMD turion 64 processor and nvdia graphic card and broadcom wireless does mac install work in it too???

Probably not. Your best bet is an SSE3 Intel chip. Check out Insanely Mac to learn more, never know till you try!

weird when i try to install x3100 drivers on install i get black screen when it boots. i have dell inspison 1318 laptop :(
