  • @migastdi Well I don't have much to say, but it's nice to have a nice conversation with someone on Youtube for once, thank you :D. Added as a friend and subscribed.

  • @patwwe Yeah, i see what you mean, they don't cost the same there... lol

In here 6k wouldn't really take you anywhere, that's how much kids spend in their little 1.0l Corsas... lol That's why people don't re-build cars here, it's cheaper to buy a Jap car for 2 grand, throw another 2 grand at it and there you have it: a 350 bhp car that corners, brakes and will actually fit in the garage! lol The only thing is that you don't get that aura that cars like the Chevelle or the Mustang have.

  • @clborg88 You're talking out of your ass, that chevelle in stock form will get shat on by any shitty little french car! You ignorant idiots think a 1/4 mile 10 sec run is a race? In Europe we race for 10-20 MILES flat out!

And since you put performance and mpg in the same bag, a simple 330d is a 155mph car that can deliver 50mpg ALL DAY LONG with the wife, the kids, the dog and the mother in law!! And all that for less than 6 grand!! WTF do you know about BMWs?? Or Europe for that mather!

  • nice car

  • @migastdi Maybe you missed the point. Here's an example, I bought my Plymouth Fury in DAMN good condition for only $1,000 cash. I've had to replace the ignition switch, all four brakes, brake hoses, and now i'm dropping in a big block that I got (with the crank, rods, keith black pistons, heads and trannie) for under $500. So i've spent WELL under $2,000 and I have almost enough to run 11 second quarter miles, and that's in a car that I worked on myself. I bet you can't even change the oil...

  • @migastdi Sure a M5 is a great car, but for you are getting what you pay for... I'm not really sure what we would pay for it here haha. Maybe for 6 grand you could build something more typical like a Camaro or Mustang and then you will still have the looks with the power while still being just as cheaper if not cheaper than an M5.

  • @patwwe Of course! A car with a Chevelle's character is every petrolheads's dream! But like i said, in Britain you can get a 10 yo M5 for 6k. (I take it you will pay about the same there?) And for that money you can't even find a pre-build crappy looking old Chevelle...

  • @migastdi The Chevelle to rebuild at any condition I believe would be cheaper than to buy any new modern car. Not only would you have a cheaper better looking car, you would have also spent half the price for double the looks. I mean wouldn't you prefer to see a Chevelle over a Ford Focus? Especially this badass one with a 572 (which probable made this project a little over the board in the money department). I'm saying wouldn't you rather have a car you could enjoy and personalize over new?

  • @DeAdiSSu3 buddy, the fact those cars have all been re-built over the years doesn't make them better than the modern car! Yes, they are special and nostalgic but c'mon man... How moch does it cost to fully rebuild a Chevelle to that spec? And how much does it cost to buy a re-built one?? An M5 is no more a rich man's motor than a chevelle!! In Britain, you can pick a 10 year old, 400bhp 5.0l, V8 M5 for under 6 grand! And that's a car the goes, stops AND handles like a proper car!

  • @migastdi Okay? What's your point? The m5 is still a rich person's car and this chevelle is a real man's car in which the engine was probably built and re-built by the owner himself.
