Blue Rabbit - Hey

What kind of world would we live in if the Pixies had three girl singers, a cello, Celtic harp and distorted violin? Blue Rabbit takes us there, manifesting the heart and soul of the UnderCover project-- the complete re-envisioning of our favorite classics by the exceptional bands of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Blue Rabbit is an eight-piece, multi-instrumental and vocal band that fuses indie and Baroque pop with modern rhythms. Their intricate harmonies, lyrical imagery and haunting, minor-key melodies evoke the magic of UK contemporaries Florence and the Machine and Bat for Lashes. However, their penchant for atypical time signatures, Kurt Weill-like chord progressions and hooks that won't let go lends their sound a timeless appeal.

UnderCover Presents: Pixies' Doolittle took place on February 22, 2011 at Public Works in San Francisco, CA. Over 100 musicians participated on this project. The entire reinterpretation of the album was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Faultline Studios.
