@Electricbust - "Regulatory bodies are pointless since they can be captured" - specific to that point, just because some orgs have a bad immune system does not mean that they are point less. it just means that they need a better immune system. IMO the point re top down control systems is that they compliment bottom up control systems. redundancy can offer many advantages like higher resolution or broader and deeper perception (like having two eyes) or a fail safe backup etc.
@Fed lady: you're concerned about unregulated darkpools? Seriously? How about the Fed's money printing, massive corruption, fractional reserve banking, smokescreen regulatory role and complicity with banksters??
@Alex: more centralized regulation/enforcement is the answer for AI?? Something like a world CFTC/CME/SEC? That's working out just dandy. Regulatory bodies are pointless since they can be captured by the regulated. Makes it even easier. Talk to Thiel about a voluntarist society.
