GT had NICE jerseys back then (and in the 70s). The jerseys they've had the last few years have just been unpleasant.
Whoever said it earlier was right...This was the beginning of Atlanta's boom in the 1990s.

the only player i remember from gt was shawn jones. but who was number 95? he had a mean streak to him. in this video at the 2:07 mark he got his foot on the back on the qb. remember when vt qb marcus vick step on a player.

I was born in '79 (in Atlanta), and my Dad was a long-time Tech fan (former student, etc)...therefore I was a Tech fan from birth. Since UGA won the championship in '80, I grew up used to rooting for the 'losers' in GT. I was 10 years old in '90 when GT finally won the title...we should have had it on our own, but a shared title is fine too. Georgia Tech's championship began the boom of Atlanta in the 1990's (olympics, Braves 14 straight penants, etc).
