Hi I got one shoulder mount a week ago I got 1-soulder bag, 1-shoulder mount, 1-Strap, 2-attachable Support Pads one small and one large size but there is no way to attach the large one to the shoulder mount, how did you attache it ? there is a hole but it is bigger than the screw, the small one has a metal piece that helps to attache it but the large does not, it does not fit in, should I buy an extra piece to attach it or is it something wrong with my product? Thanks:-)

The only option to not get a sore back is to use a tripod and dolly. Any other support system using your body as a means of stabilization, will result in soreness.
It is because you are using muscles you normally do not utilize in everyday tasks.
Now if you use this Cowboy Shoulder rid daily, you will notice it no longer makes your back sore. Its common sense.
were you shooting next to niagara falls?

@wakisan Ha no but it sure sounds like it. No worries, have an external mic to control background noise now.

I really dont like the idea of these at all as so much body movment must be transmitted to the camera. Would nt you be better off with a cage or frame. You can get good ones from hague for about 60 dollars or 40 uk pounds.

@arfurlife It works very well for run and gun shooting because you can just throw it in a backpack or whatever. But I would agree that it shouldn't be your only stabilizer. I built that DIY cage from CheesyCam and am working at getting rails for it. Also picked up a Glidecam which is awesome as well.

@akentevphoto Check out the blog post on the Cheesycam blog entitled "Evolution of a Shoulder Rig" he has some great ideas on how to make the cowboy studio a full on pro shoulder rig.
