No, I made KITT from a V6 Premium.  Just sold him for $18k and purchased a 2011 Mustang GT

Well, the new KITT was a Mustang! And since I posted this, my car has been completely converted to the New KITT...including a 34" wide hood scanner. I will have to post a new video!

Putting KITT's scanner in the grille is a neat idea visually. Did you just have to take off the grille and attach the light or was it a more involved process?

Actually it was simple, the grille just pulls right off. But I took off the radiator plastic shroud to allow access. But since about 2 months ago, I did a complete redo, and added the entire Shelby GT500 front end, and the proper GT500KR hood with a custom made light. Looks just like KITT now.

that scanner belongs on shelby gt500 but on your car it looks good

the mustag has nothing emotional like lovely ORIGINAL KITT Trans Am had
