What in the hell was going on with the background dancers! I couldnt concentrate on Johnnie due to laughing at their no dancing asses!

@catwoman19628 Taylor had his own style, but the Sam Cooke influence is definitely there in timing and phrasing. Cooke's influence on singers like Taylor, Otis Redding, Al Green, Aretha and others go back to his gospel days. This song was co-written by Cooke and released on his SAR Label. Cooke left Soul Stirrers in 1957 and was replaced by Taylor. The Cooke influence is in pop/rock via Steve Perry and Rod Stewart, Paul Young. No soul music without Cooke, he was known as Mr. Soul.
