Its true that the original motion came from streetboards/snakeboards but casters are still an interesting concept. And as of right now there are NO companies producing a REAL board utilizing casters and torsion bars, all they are is toys. Not competition level equipment. And companies always say its like snowboarding and surfing. It is not. It is a unique motion. The only board to emulate snow is the freebord, end of story. Support the caster boards though, we may yet see a non-toy casterboard.

These are rubbish. A caster board from ripstick is the real thing, these are trying to copy ripstick. But it has turned out crap.

It's kind of wierd how snakeboard came out 15 years ago, and yet, less capable boards with no speed and no tricks are ripping off the movement. Thanks for the publicity, don't even watch the new Streetboard videos, you might quit that stuff.

they look kinda cool (especially the red one),but having no nose or tail flicks makes people unable to perform tricks on them.also can they go backwards? (that one of the only flaws with ripstiks).

ok--..-- what is best? ripstick, the wave or streetsurfing?

This is beginning to confuse me Why does the Whip-tide and the Alive Board look exactly the same? Is it the same company or what?

Someone in USA decided to market the Aliveboard under a new name 'Whiptide' but they are the same product!

The Alive board is unique with lateral, vertical and horizontal movement planes. This freedom of movement between the two decks means the rider feels & moves as if they were on a snowboard/surfboard and this opens up heaps of new possibilities for tricks and manoeuvres that are virtually impossible with a standard board.
