I am leaving St Louis and heading to Chicago. I give a small tour of the downtown area of St. Louis and get a glimpse of the famous Gateway Arch and pass across the border into Illinois.

  • how are you able to afford all of this? Your are awesome btw. Good luck with everything! im 18 and really want to get the most out of my life. i really want to tour. Start of small.like state to state. I was thinking about a ninja 650. like what you have. I live in Pennsylvania. What do you think? is there kits large enough to carry gear for the 650. or should i just get a klr.

  • @dontworrybehappy7777 Life on the road can be pretty cheap. You can get a big bag to toss on the back of the 650r like a Wolfman

  • what happened to day 6? day 5 was windmills and breakdown

  • @5xtimeslfc Day 6 was me sitting on my butt. Not very exciting footage...

  • @AtlasRider how do you upload your videos?

  • @somdeth33 I upload my videos from my netbook and whatever wifi I happen to come across. It's easy to find.

  • You are living the dream man!

  • @torqsworld He might even be able to squeeze the KLR into the funky elevators that go up inside the arch, if he tried really hard and everybody pulled their feet up to their knees. :) Atlas, you're from Chicago and you've *never* gone up? Shoot, I'm a hick from KC and I've been up twice. lol ;) Happy trails.

  • Atlas Rider I'm following your trip with great interest, and have an important (moneywise) tip for you: keep a detailed account any way you can, and write a book. There are very few motorcycle adventure authors out there. You're lucky you can be one of them. I would buy the book. I have Neal Davis' book "Motorcycle Journeys Through Southern Mexico", from Whitehorse Press. I think you would do very well as an author, and it could finance your future trips. Good Roads to you;que tengas suerte!

  • yes new video! btw loved the footage from guenella pass

  • Oh yeah, Mississippi River = muddy waters.

  • lol you weren't to far from the hood lol. i almost went to school in STL. then i found out my roomate would have us living in a bad neighborhood. so i heading to indianna instead.

what model netbook do you have?

  • Thanks for the update Atlas. Although I got a reasonable idea of scale of that arch from the video, I bet it's even more impressive when you're right next to it. I reckon you should of taken the KLR off road at the lights and quickly nipped up over the grass to take a closer look ;-)
