@kimnorkim Or maybe they should have both? Diesels are pretty good, but it'd be nice to have rotaries back again.
-
sounds like a 20b pp

@kimnorkim Very true, mate. The sad thing is that diesels are just as unbalanced, one way or another...
-
Rotary has been allowed in the LMP classes like since 2000 (and there have even been couple of cars, but not run by Mazda). Altough, it was never "banned" in the first place. This whole "banning" myth based on bullshit and repeated by ill-informed people. Decision in the World Sports-Prototype Championship to change to the 3.5L NA formula was decided already in 1990 if not earlier (Mazda won in 1991, remember). It was controversial but for entirely other reasons and had nothing to do with Mazda.

very easy to masturbate to :D

@kimnorkim OK, apparently they've already been allowing gaslone-electric hybrids run in Le Mans since 1998 with the Panoz Esperante GTR-1 Q9 Hybrid...
So it looks like you can have any kind of engine you want other than a conventional gasoline or diesel engine, so long as it doesn't allow you to win...
Way to go Le Mans...
-
@kimnorkim Heh, I'd actually like to see a few hydrogen powered rotaries compete in the next Le Mans, I bet they'd give the diesels a run for their money. Especially since they run even more efficiently with hydrogen than they do with gasoline and also since Le Mans is going with the whole "alternative fuel" push, and is, or is supposed to in the near future, also be allowing gas-electric hybrids run...

@mark6020cc try googling wankel engines, rotary engines etc.... u will find out what u want from the pros and engineers :)

This is how they invented Dubstep! Wub wub wub
they should allow the rotary back at the le mans, instead of the garbage truck diesels..
