United Way is committed to advancing the common good. Through the work of the more than 1,200 local United Ways across the country, United Way is creating opportunities for a better life for everyone, by focusing on the building blocks of a good life, education, income and health. People are hungry for a proactive, solutions-based message of unity, and the notion of advancing the common good reinforces the connections among all people and communicates a sense of shared fate. This campaign seeks to motivate and inspire people from all walks of life to get engaged and become a partner with the United Way in their community efforts. The diversity which is communicated, and the call to action, "Give. Advocate. Volunteer." allow viewers to easily envision a role for themselves in making a difference.
