I got to actually hear Mathieu Lavoie eight years or so back when he was singing for Varekai. He blew me away. He sounds good here, but it can't do justice to hearing him singing twenty feet away from you. I will pick him over Josh Groban any day. Groban is an excellent singer, but he lacks the emotion that Lavoie brings to this.

After reading all these comments I thought I was gonna be blown away, but I'm kinda cringing. His voice sounds like it's about to break from strain, and not in a good way. More like a teenage boy who can't quite hit the notes. He almost sounds kind of unsure of himself.

Josh Groban may sing "stronger", but THIS is exactly how this song needs to sound. It's not a big operatic number. It's a simple, sincere plea. Bigger is not always better. I can, however, appreciate that Groban likes to go out and find great songs and redo them to sell some discs. At least more people can hear it.
