  • Very nice. I got my 335/12 for Xmas.!!! Woo Hoo!! I love it. A '67 cherry like yours. It now takes pride of place alongside my '66 Epiphone Riviera 12 (cherry), my '67 Fender Coronado 12 (sunburst) and my '07 Gretsch G6122-12 Chet Atkin Country Gentleman 12 (walnut).

    What do you play through?

  • Wow, you beat me hands down ! As the Moz would say, I'm a man of slender means, so this guitar is plugged into my old Marshall AVT-40 and a Boss SE 70 multi-effect. The sound was taken in stereo through a mike facing the amp and the second out socket of the Boss.

  • great tonality!

  • nice playing mate!

  • I never got to Lush live here in the states back in the day which I regret because they were a solid band and Chris' drumming was phenomenal. All I can say is that is one beautiful sounding guitar.

  • Actually, the first time I realised that a 12 strings version of the ES-335 existed was when I saw Miki using it on stage in october '91. It was also the first time I attended a Lush gig. She used her Epi Riviera 12 instead the second time I saw them live 3 years later. Miki's ES-335 is a TDS (Sunburst), mine is a TDC (Cherry). Only these two finishes were available from 1965 ; this model was discontinued in 1971.

  • I saw him live at my old college in Durango, Colorado in 2003 and he only use Martin acoustics and his signature Rickenbacker. It was a great show. Never got to see Lush live though. Very sad about that. But, on record still one of my favorite bands as well as The Byrds. They are both in my top ten. Love's Forever Changes is a great album that uses some 12 string guitar. Just a beautiful instrument.

  • I've happened to know that Roger Mc Guinn was a user of this model but the Byrds records I know rather featured his Rickenbacker 360/12. My 335 TDC 12 was made in Kalamazoo (Michigan) in 1967.

  • Nice guitar. 12 strings are great. Do you like The Byrds or Leadbelly? That some great 12 string stuff as well.

  • Yeah, but Miki's has a sunburst finish. You can watch this video with a stereo sound adding &fmt=18 at the end of the URL code.
