Bugle Song

I started playing the flugelhorn about one year and four months ago. I didn`t even know how to read sheetmusic. Here is a video of me playing a little song after one year of music-lessons.

its only a lead sheet and the faster part of the song is an improvisation thats not on the sheet music only the head is on the sheets

i dont have a backing track for it

but i would say just practice with the main song

its a great piece for a flugle

tho the original is with a trumpet

Ah yes, I found it. I think I might try that. Without that solo it doesn`t look too difficult. I sure would be nice with some background music though. What did you think of Melancholy Mood?

look it up on you tube and see a guy named roy hargrove play it

i would love to see your interpretation on it

That`s is a nice piece. Do you know if I can find the sheetmusic somewhere and a backingtrack. I`m not sure I can pull off the quicker part of the song. He sure does a great job. I just ordered a jazzy piece called Melancholy Mood by Tony Cliff... It`s also on Youtube playes by Dominic Longhurst. That little boy does have some talent!

I know it`s a flugelhorn, but in dutch we call it bugel. So when I first started, thats now over three years ago, I thought it was called a bugle in English.

u just need to work on intonation and keep ur tone steady

and use a lot more air!!!
